CcMe Transactions
Thank you for visiting our website. CcMe Transactions is dedicated to protecting the privacy and security of our online visitors. This privacy policy outlines how we handle personal information collected through our website. By using our site, you consent to the practices described in this document.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. Any changes will be posted on this page and will apply only to activities and information going forward, not on a retroactive basis. Please review this policy regularly to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
Collected Information
Personal Information
We collect personal information — such as your name, phone number, and email address — only when you voluntarily provide it, for example by submitting a contact or sign-up form or subscribing to our newsletter. This information is used to respond to your request and communicate with you, unless you give us permission to use it in other ways.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, as described in the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section below.
Shared Information
Regulatory and Legal Compliance
We may share information with government agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation under the following circumstances:
- As permitted or required by law.
- When trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions.
- When investigating fraud which has already taken place.
Service Providers
We engage third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf such as website hosting, email services, and marketing efforts. We may share your personal information with these providers, but only to the extent necessary for them to perform their services.
Collective Data
Usage Statistics
We may collect non-personal information about how users interact with our website. This includes tracking the number of visitors to each page of our site, the duration of their visits, and the links they click. This data is used to improve website content and overall usability. This information may be shared with third parties in an aggregated, anonymous form which does not personally identify any users.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site, understand how visitors use it, and support our advertising. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help us recognize your browser and remember certain information.
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to measure site traffic and understand how visitors interact with our pages. We also use advertising and retargeting tools, including Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel, which allow us to measure the performance of our ads and show relevant ads to visitors after they leave our site.
These third-party providers may set their own cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control how these third parties use the information they collect.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), your Meta ad preferences, and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) or Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org). Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website function.
Carbon, The Agent Portal And Carbon For Chrome
What Carbon Is
Carbon is the platform CcMe uses to coordinate your transactions. Agents we work with can use the CcMe Agent Portal (at carbon.ccmetransactions.com) and the optional Carbon for Chrome browser extension to see their own files, deadlines and documents.
Signing In
You sign in with your Google account. Google tells us your name and email address so we can match you to your agent record. We never see or store your Google password. Only agents we have given access to can sign in, and you see only your own files (and your team’s, if you lead a team).
Information We Use
- Your transaction files: the property, dates, documents, statuses and the contact details of the parties, as provided to us for the transactions we coordinate for you.
- What you send us in the portal: new orders and their documents, changes to your profile, and messages to your transaction coordinator.
- Questions you ask CeCe: CeCe, the portal’s assistant, answers questions using your own files and CcMe’s records. Your question and the relevant file details are sent to our AI provider to write the answer. They are not used to train AI models.
Carbon For Chrome
The extension is optional. When its side panel is open, it reads the text of the page or email you are viewing, only to find a property address and show the matching file. That text is not stored, is not sent anywhere except to look up the address among your own files, and nothing on the page is changed. Your sign-in is kept on your computer.
Use Of Google User Data
CcMe’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail access is used only by CcMe’s own team, through CcMe’s shared transaction account, to file and answer transaction email. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who Helps Us Run Carbon
Carbon runs on service providers who process information only to provide the service to us. They include Google Cloud (hosting and sign-in), Airtable (our transaction database) and Anthropic (the AI behind CeCe). We do not sell the information in Carbon or share it for advertising.
Keeping Your Information Safe
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access is limited to you, your CcMe team and the providers above. We keep transaction records for as long as needed for your transactions and our legal and brokerage obligations.
